Catch Up!!!

Its been awhile, I know, but we have been busy!!! So here is a quick run down of our holiday season!!!

We did Santa..... Haiden asked for a barbie house, Lexi Screamed!!!

I can't believe how behind I am. Since I last blogged back in August we have been so busy. We went to Lagoon in September thinking it was late enough in the season that the crowd wouldn't be bad. We were wrong. 3 large companies had employee parties there that day. The rain scared a few off but it was still fun. Haiden loves that she can ride some of the bigger rides now days. Lexi is just jealous that she can't. At the beginning of October we headed to Disneyland again! Again thinking the crowd would not be bad. Boy are we poor judges of that!!! It was still a blast though! We love that place. Other than that my girls have just been growing like crazy. Haiden is becoming so grown up and says the funniest things sometimes. I love her randomness and personality. Lexi went from baby to toddler in like a day. She tries to talk all day long and loves copying everything Haiden does. Just love these girls. So once again I am slow but better later than never. Joe and I went to Aruba the beginning of July. It was awesome. We left the kids with my parents and took a week for ourselves. We played on the beach, went snorkeling, site seeing, and a whole lot of relaxing. Here are some of our pictures.

3 years old!!!

My Baby turned 3 on Thursday!!! Blogger wouldn't load anything so I am a few days late. I cannot believe how fast the last three years have flown by! It is crazy how much she has grown up. A few things about Haiden right now:
   - She is obsessed with Ice Cream cones (we have at least 2-3 a day)
   -She loves books and reading stories
   -She loves movies (especially if animals are involved)
   - loves being outside (swinging, sand box, slippery slides)
   - loves playing with her friends
   - loves playing with Lexi
Haiden is such a smart little bug. She is always singing and dancing and is full of energy! She wears me out daily! We should do love her and are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Wow, summer is just flying by. We have been so busy, I haven't blogged in awhile. So first things first, tell me how this

Turns into this...

Yes that is right, We celebrated Lexi's first birthday last Thursday. I can't believe how fast the past year has flown by. Some of her favorite things right now are:
     -Walking along every piece of furniture we own. She is close to walking on her own but gets scared every time we let go.
     - She LOVES peek-a-boo and Pat-a-cake
     -She is the happiest baby on earth, rarely cries!
     - She loves her big sister
     -Loves being outside
     - Has 5 1/2 teeth
     -Weighed in at 18lbs, 14 oz and was 28 in long

This past four days I have spent with these crazy girls at cheer camp. They are all such cute girls and did so good in all their performances. It was a long, fun week. Best part, I got to work on my tan!! (or sunburn!)

It appears as though my blogging has been slacking lately. I had a friendly request to update my blog by a good friend who I am pretty sure is the only one who still reads it!!! In trying to update, I also realized that I need to take more pictures. So here is my attempt to sum up the last month for the Cullumber family.
First- it snowed again, and again, and yet again!!! We are very tired of Winter and really want to get outside and play. However we made the best of it and snapped some pictures of the girls. We also took a day and went skiing. The powder was up to Haiden's waist in some spots and her little legs just couldn't handle all that snow so she spent most of the day in the cabin playing with grandpa and Lexi. Joe and I on the other hand quite enjoyed the snow.
Next Lexi hit her nine month old milestone and decided to start crawling about 2 days later. My house is pretty safe so I was prepared for that but what I failed to think about was all the little crap that Haiden leaves lying around. Perfect choking hazards!! Now I spend all day picking things up off the floor. Lexi went in for her 9 month check up. Everything looks good. She weighed 18lbs (30% tile) and was about 27 1/4 in. long (33%tile). Her labs and everything have looked great!!

And last but not least. My new adventure.....
For those of you that don't want to count, those are 16 girls in that picture. All of which are new cheerleaders for Logan High School. And I have the opportunity to coach these girls for the next year. Some of you may think I am crazy, some silly, others understand but for me this is an opportunity for me to hopefully be a good influence to these girls and help them develop their skills. I have always missed dancing and tumbling since high school and I am excited to be involved in some way with that. It is going to be crazy and busy but I am looking forward to it. Not to mention that Haiden loves coming with me and dancing with the girls.

8 Months Old!

My Little Lexi turned 8 months old yesterday. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Here are a few things about Lexi right now:
- Lexi has 2 teeth
- She loves baby dolls
- She is trying really hard to crawl and get upset when she doesn't go anywhere
-She is a great eater if you can't tell by the pictures
-She has the cutest laugh I've ever heard
-She hates to sleep alone (not sure how to fix this one but would really like too)
-She weighs about 17-18lbs!
-She jabbers and sings all the time
-Her smile manages to brighten your day no matter what your mood

It's such a blessing to have her around. I just can't get enough of her chubby cheeks. She is the best cuddler and is always up for playing patty cake or peek-a-boo.

Last week we took a super fun vacation to Disneyland. Joe's whole family came which made for a very large party of roughly 27 people!! It was a blast, we met lots of cool characters and found out that Haiden is a dare devil. I swear she is not scared of anything. She loved the characters and was not afraid of any rides. Her favorite of course was the Carosel! What a weirdo. Lexi was such a trooper, she hung out in the stroller alot and just chilled. It was a great week!! Here is just a glimpse of how much fun we had.

6 months old, Christmas, and New Year's!

Yep I am a little slow but what can I say we have been busy trying to play with all our fun Christmas toys! First off my baby girl turned 6 months old in December. Crazy how fast time flies. Here's some stats for all those who care. Wt: 16 lbs 11 oz Ht: 26 3/4 in. She still has the chubbiest cheeks I've ever seen but they get lots of kisses! Health wise she is doing awesome, we see the endocrinologist again on the 21st of January. More poking, more labs, etc. Hope all turns out well. Lexie has mastered sitting up and loves the new view of the world that she has. She can roll over but basically chooses not to. She's a bit lazy like that. She loves to jabber and is such a snuggler. We just can't get enough of her.

Christmas

We had a really good Christmas. Lots of time was spent visiting families and friends. We were all spoiled. Joe got me a new camera and new pillows! Haiden and Lexi got baby dolls, farm animals, crayons, and everything that goes along with that. By the end of the day I felt like we could open our own toy store.

New Year's Day

New Year's day was spent sledding and playing at Grandma's house. It was fun riding the tube down the hill and behind the 4 Wheeler.

So December is here. I had to work on Thanksgiving so I didn't get any pictures of everyone else enjoying dinner! I thought I would share with you our Christmas tree. I love real trees they smell so good and this year it was so much fun to have Haiden around to help me decorate! Haiden has been really good about not touching the decorations, although baby Jesus was missing from my nativity for four days! I am not sure I am ready to deal with presents under the tree just yet.

On another note, Haiden and Lexi were entertaining each other today and I caught this on video. I just can't get over Lexi's laugh. I could listen to this forever! I hope it works.

I have alot of catching up to do so the best way is going to be pictures.October was a busy month for us here is a few things that went on. Sorry the pictures are blurry. I need to fix my camera settings and my children don't like to hold still.

Haiden had surgery to release her trigger thumb. Her left thumb was completely stuck at about a 30 degree angle. This picture was just after we got home from the hospital. She refused to take the hospital gown off.

I am a bad mom and didn't snap any pictures on Halloween but this is Haiden in her Halloween pajamas. They were glow in the dark.

Thanks to my good friend Kara, Haiden's room got a small but much needed make over!!! Her walls have been all white since we bought the house to year's ago and it just so happens that all the furniture we have collected for her room has been white as well. Needless to say, it was pretty drab. Finally I was tired of looking at it. Kara had offered to paint it while I was pregnant but we just never got around to it. This week I had seen enough. So she took her day off and painted. We love it. Such a simple color but man it adds character. I only wish I would have taken a before picture so you could see how big of a difference it made. Thanks again Kara! We owe you!

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out some pumpkins to carve. Haiden loved it. The whole time she kept saying "look at all the pumpkins dad!" It was funny. We even managed to snap a few pictures.

Okay so I am a little slow at posting this because technically she is like 2 1/2 months old but give and girl a break. Lexi's 2 month stats are as follows:

Weight: 12 lbs 15 oz (92% tile)

Height: 23 1/4 in. (79% tile)

So basically she is huge!!! We love her chubby little legs and face though and I'm sure that she gets tired of all the kisses!! She is really doing great. Her labs came back this month worse than they were before so we are making a few adjustments to the medication schedule. Hopefully next month will be a different story. But as far as we are concerned she is happy and healthy. I even managed to catch her smile on camera. She has been smiling for about a month now but I never had the camera at the right time.Even then the good smile is on my phone. Our next challenge, taking a bottle!!! She is a stubborn little thing!

I babysat a little girl today that is Haiden's age. They were pretty good together, I only had to break up a few fights. You know how two year olds are! I have had a really hard time getting Haiden to nap lately. Ever since I took her pacifier away the only time I can get her to sleep is in the car. At 4 o'clock today the little girl left and I finally decided to take a shower!! I turned a movie on for Haiden and when I went down to check on her, I found this. Yes, she got into the popcorn maker. Yes, she made a HUGE mess. And Yes she fell asleep! Poor girl was exhausted!!!

It is hard to believe that my baby is already 6 weeks old!! It has flown by. I have debated about writing this post but in the end decided that it would be okay. About 3 weeks ago I received a phone call from our pediatrician telling us that one of the tests on the newborn screening came back abnormal. He threw out some big words explaining to me what it was and told me that we needed to go to the lab and have her blood drawn as soon as possible for more definitive testing. He went on to tell me that in the meantime I needed to watch her for any floppiness or extreme sleepiness. I thought to myself, hello I have a newborn, she fits both of those explanations!!! Regardless, Joe and I took her in to have blood drawn. I wrote down the name of the labs they were testing and went home and did some research. I was anxious all weekend due to my findings and by the time the Dr called on Monday with the results, I had pretty much prepared myself for what he was going to say. Monday came along and the phone call I expected came. The labs again had come back abnormal and the Dr wanted to see us that afternoon to talk about it. Alexis has a condition called Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. Basically her adrenal glands don't produce any Aldosterone (the hormone that regulates salt balance) or Cortisol (the "stress" hormone, also responsible for blood pressure regulation, glucose metabolism and alot of other things). Treatment for this is basically steroids three times a day for life to replace what is missing. With this treatment she should grow and develop normally. Blood draws once a month for the first year or so put a damper on things but when the doctor tells you that without treatment she would eventually crash and die it puts everything into perspective. The scary thing is that only about 19 states test for this condition on the newborn screening tests and from my research I read that most babies that are untreated crash within the first 6 weeks of life. I am extremely grateful for such a wonderful pediatrician who spent over an hour with me answering questions last week and for family who have been so concerned and supportive.

On a happier note, She is doing awesome. She is growing like a weed and last week at the Dr's she tipped the scale at 10 lbs. I am afraid she is going to outgrow all the clothes I saved from Haiden. She has these cute little leg rolls and knee dimples. Oh well I guess I will have to do some shopping. We are blessing her on Sunday but I snapped some pictures of her the other day while I was playing around with the camera.

The month of July has seriously flown by. It's been full of fun and trials but we are surviving and when I look at my two beautiful kids it makes it all worth it. Haiden is getting used to having someone else around and is learning to share the attention.We have spent lots of time outside with family and friends.

My baby celebrated her 2nd birthday yesterday! It was a bittersweet day. On one hand I love seeing how big she is getting and how much she is changing and learning everyday. On the other hand it is just a reminder how fast time flies by! Some things about Haiden: - she loves animals and is fearless when it comes to touching them or chasing after them. - She loves to sing and dance - She loves watching movies - She can count from 4-10 without any help (We are still working on 1-3!) -She weighed in at a whopping 23 lbs at her Dr. Appt. - She loves being outside and collecting rocks -She loves reading books -She loves her baby sister
We are so lucky to have such a sweet girl in our home. We are so blessed to have her around and just love her to pieces!
I tried to have the girl's pictures taken the other day, Haiden's turned out cute but Alexis did not want to cooperate and let's be honest I hated the pictures that we got of her and when it came time for the two of them together they were both spent. So here's what you get,

Yesterday at my parent's house Haiden decided she wanted to play in the water so she immediately stripped down to her birthday suit and went about her business! To avoid offending any passing traffic we talked her into putting on her Aunt Kellie's Tankini top. And well you see the result. Not so bad until she bent over!!!! Oh well, kids can get away with stuff like that.

On another noted I am terrible when it comes to picture taking with Alexis. I have oodles of pictures of Haiden as a baby but I am really slacking these days. I managed to snap a few yesterday. She is getting so big already!

I love this picture!!! My girls are so stinking cute, however I just wish that it was this way all the time. People keep asking how we are doing and how Haiden is coping with a new face in the house. Honestly, we are doing great. I feel good, baby is healthy and although we don't sleep alot right now things are really pretty good. Haiden loves her sister, she hasn't learned quite how to say her name yet so she just calls her baby. Every once in awhile she asks to hold the baby. It lasts about 10 sec and then she is done but it's cute anyways. Haiden is having a little trouble with the fact that mom and dad's attention is split now between two kids. Even before the baby came she was clingy to me and didn't want Joe to help her with anything. Now it's even worse and she seems to cry alot. I feel bad, I don't want her to think that we don't love her anymore so I am trying really hard to be patient and give her as much attention as possible. I knew this would be hard but not sure I was really prepared. Oh the joys of parenthood!!!! It's so worth it though. I could not imagine life any other way!

No name yet but we are so excited that she is here. She arrived 6/16/10 at 6:31 pm. Weighing in at a whopping 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/2 in. long. Lots of blonde hair!! A little sooner than expected, I went for my 39 week visit and my blood pressure was high so he sent me straight up to labor and delivery to be induced. All went pretty well. Haiden is very excited and can't stop talking about baby!!! Here's some pictures for you to enjoy.

So Thursday morning I was trying to clean up breakfast and get ready for work and what not. Haiden was really trying hard to get me to stop what I was doing and play with her. Her new thing to do is put all her babies to sleep, each one with their own blanket mind you and then shut all the bedroom doors. Five minutes later we have to go wake them all up and then repeat the process. It's cute but I was running late anyways and didn't have time to stop and play. (I sound like a terrible mom, I know) We recently bought her a miniature pic nic table. Since the weather has been so crappy the table is now residing in my living room. I pulled out the crayons and the coloring book and told her that she needed to sit at her table and color until mom was ready to go. What was I thinking!!! About ten minutes later I came out to check on her cause she had been pretty quiet. Quiet turns out is not always a good sound, turns out she thought it would be more fun to color everywhere else except the coloring book. Yes that's right, black crayon all over my brown walls!!! I guess I deserved that since I would not play with her but she still got in trouble. I panicked a little at first because the paint on the walls is different all together and I wasn't sure what I could do to get the crayon out. Turns out WD-40 is good for more than just door squeaks! Gotta love those kids and their creativity though!
On another note, We are down to about 5 1/2 weeks until baby girl number two arrives. We have no name yet, not even an idea really so if you have any good ones send them our way.
Joe has run off to China this week for business and took our camera so I can't post any pictures. When he gets back I will try and get some updated pictures up. In the meantime, my goal is to have Haiden potty trained before he gets back. Any suggestions?

Baby Animal Days!

Like most of the children in Cache Valley, Haiden and I attended Baby Animal days last weekend! She had so much fun looking and petting all the animals. Her favorite was being in the goat pen and chasing all the baby goats around. It was difficult trying to get her to understand why we had to stand in line for 30 minutes to see the bunnies but in the end it was worth it. It was a nice warm day and it felt so good to be outside! Here are a few pictures from our day.

Dear Mother Nature,
This was a cruel April Fools Joke you played on us.

While I am grateful to have drinking water in the summer, we are running out of things to do inside the house. I have resorted to this: Yes, I decided that since I couldn't go outside and play because it was so cold, I would take all of my mom's dish towels and spread them out in the kitchen. I couldn't think of anything else to do. I had already colored, played with blocks, babies, bears, watched Shrek, taken a nap and eaten. I was out of ideas and let's face it so was my mom. I am ready to go to the park and swing and swim and all the things that you are supposed to be able to do in April. Please be kind to us and give us some warm weather for awhile. I could really use the fresh air and mom could use the exercise!!! Her belly is getting so big these days.

As Of Lately.....

So I have been a blog slacker lately but Haiden keeps me pretty busy!! And every time I touch the computer Haiden thinks we need to watch cartoons! So anyways we have been trying to get everything ready for this baby to come, I know I have a few months left but I wanted Haiden to get used to a big girl bed! The transition has not been as bad as expected. The biggest problem we have had is getting her to go to sleep by herself. Once she is asleep it's fine but we have to lay with her until that point. Any advice from you veteran parents would be appreciated? So here are some pictures of her new bed for all to enjoy!
We also took a trip to park city last weekend. I only managed to get one picture of Joe and Haiden riding a mechanical horse at the outlet malls! We had a really fun weekend though. Joe and I went skiing (Yes that's right I went skiing!! It felt so good to be able to still ski!) I was especially exhausted the next day but it was worth it. Then we wandered around downtown park city one day and basically just relaxed! It was a great weekend that ended much to quickly.
Not much else going on here. I would post a picture of my pregnant belly but I cant seem to take a good one by myself so i will leave that image for all your own imaginations. Let's just say I definitely look pregnant. Only 14 weeks left to go.

Last week Haiden had a pretty nasty cold and the weather wasn't much better so we spent alot of time inside the house. By the end of the week we were both a little stir crazy. Haiden was getting ornery because I was making her try on her some clothes. When i was finished, I let her just hang out in her diaper. (She loves hanging out without clothes) However we went into the kitchen and she insisted that her snowboots be put on and well the result was this......

GIRL!!!

So we found out today that we are having another girl! It will be fun to have two of them so close together, plus I saved ALL of Haiden's clothes (some even have tags still) so as long as they are about the same size we are all prepared! Think of the money we will save! I am sure that I will find a thing or two that this baby just has to have. Anyway, I don't have a way to post the pictures but things look good. We are right on track for a June 24th due date unless I can convince the doctor to take me early!
On another note...... This so called 82% accuracy rate with this test was a huge waste of $30! Boy was it wrong.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Ours turned out to be really fun, however we forgot to take any pictures. Haiden got a baby doll and stroller from Santa Claus, she has not put it down since she opened it up. It's cute to see her play with it. Joe and I were spoiled as well. Today i managed to get some pictures of Haiden enjoying the snow. She loves being outside no matter how cold it is. Grandma even took her for a sleigh ride today! Baby Update!

Alright, I think you all get the picture. Baby number two will be here around the end of June. We are excited and nervous to add another little person to our family. In the weeks that I knew I was pregnant but still hadn't told anyone I had numerous people give me advice on how I should wait until Haiden is three to have another baby (Thanks Stef!) or how I should wait until Haiden is passed the terrible two stage (MOM!) and all the while I just smiled and listened intently to all this good advice. We love you all and who knows when all this is over we just might take that advice into consideration before the next one!
On a lighter and slightly more embarrassing note; shortly after Haiden was born there was a story on the news about these at home gender predicticion tests that you can do around 10 weeks. I was bound and determined to take one with my next baby. Soooooo, when 10 weeks came along I went to the store and bought this.........
And acording to this I am having a........
Don't worry, I am not totally crazy! I haven't gone out and bought a whole new boy wardrobe or anything. I am still thinking realistically and waiting to see what the ultrasound says in February before I spend all sorts of money but for now it is fun to have some what of an idea. Hogle Zoo!

Today we decided to take Haiden to Hogle Zoo. She loves animals and gets excited everytime we see one. She absolutely loved the zoo! She smiled the whole time and was such a little trooper. She kept trying to climb all the fences and just wanted to touch everything. Here are a few pictures from the day. The baby elephant was my favorite!

We are really slow at posting these pictures, partly because we were really slow getting them taken. These are Haiden's one year pictures. She looks so big. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She has grown up so fast. Everyday she learns something new. She has mastered the word NO and her personality is so fun to see. Hope you all enjoy!

So next up on or agenda we went to the beach. Haiden enjoyed playing in the sand. She didn't like the taste of salt water much and had a hard time walking in the sand but enjoyed herself anyways.

These are the nasty iguanas that were always hanging around the hotel. You can see that there is a fence there but it is all broken and bent so some of these creatures sneak out from time to time. Joe loved them I would rather not ever look at them again.

So I saved the best for last. We took a private tour to a couple of the Mayan ruins. There were awesome. Our tour guides were lds and have studied Book of Mormon history for a long time. During the tour they point out and explain alot of things that correlate with the Book of Mormon. They were able to explain how they know when the people were living rightously and when they were not just by the way the temples and structures were built. It was a pretty amazing experience to learn about this part of our history. It would take days to explain what all the pictures are so I won't but you get the idea. We were able to climb up to the top of one of the buildings. We was steep and kind of scary but the view was amazing. The first set of pictures are from TULUM.

So my little family just returned from Cancun. We spent a week in Mexico and had a blast. Although the plane rides were a challenge with a one year old whom after 5 hours of flying was stir crazy and just wanted to run around, we were glad that we decided to take her with us. She was fun to have around. Every time we would walk by someone (which was often) Haiden would say Hi. Everybody loved her. We spent alot of time in the pool, the weather was REALLY hot! Overall we spent alot of time relaxing and enjoying the mexican culture. We even made it out without getting the Swine Flu!

This is how the last week has gone for Haiden and I:

7:00- Wake-up, eat breakfast (while watching Sesame Street), play with toys
9:00- Mom goes to boot camp, Haiden plays with aunt Kellie (usually consists of a walk and lots of play time.
11:30-Mom and Tot swim class
12:30- Play in the pool, lay out, eat lunch, swim some more, lay out again.
2:00- Home for Nap!
4:00- Time to shower, start dinner, etc
5:00- Dad comes home, eat dinner, play time again
7:00- Watch tv, go on walks, play with toys
9:00- Bedtime

Aren't we spoiled! Thank heavens for such a good husband who works so hard so that Haiden and I can lounge around all day!

Walking!!!

Well Haiden started walking about a week and a half ago! Everyday, she gets a little better and walks a little further. It is crazy to see such a small person walking! She is so darn cute. Here is a little video for entertainment purposes.

On another note, not much is new here at the Cullumber house. We are busy with work as usual. I chopped my hair off at the beginning of June and am yet to get a decent picture of it. I will keep trying but for those who can picture things in their head, it is an a-line cut and just under my chin in the front. It's a change but I am getting used to it. I also signed myself up for boot camp at the Sports Academy. It really is what the name states. I go three days a week for an hour and literally get my butt kicked. I feel so good though getting back in shape! Anyone interested let me know. It's always more fun with a friend.

And last but not least, another picture of Haiden. Our window seals are low and she loves us to open the blinds so she can look out. It's pretty cute because she has to stand on her toes to see.

Two updates in one Day! How did we all get so lucky. We have been super busy the past month with work and what not. Hiaden is getting so big. She has started standing up on her own without holding onto anything! She has also mastered the art of climing the stairs. She is everywhere nowdays, I just love chasing her around the house all day! It keeps me entertained! The other day I was unloading the dishwasher and she decided to help. Nevermind the commentary. You don't realize how stupid you sound until you hear your own voice on video.

I also caught Haiden dancing the other day. She has learned how to turn on the stereo. When I got the camera out she turned shy on me. What a stinker! Sorry the video is so dark, I didn't have the lights on.

Well my baby turned 9 months old today! Crazy how fast time flies, I can hardly remember back to when she was just a brand new baby or when she was six weeks old and sleeping through the night! Ever since her teeth started coming in, around 4 months or so, she has not slept through the night. She wakes up at least once and just wants to be held, she falls right back asleep when we pick her up but if we lay her down she is wide awake again. It's very frustrating. Because I am gone alot at night, Joe will just bring her into our bed. I think she has gotten used to that now and I don't know how to break the habit, plus at three o'clock in the morning your patience goes out the window and anything to get her back to sleep sooner takes over. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I think we are both way to soft to just let her cry it out! On a happier note, my sister and I attempted to take some pictures of her in her Easter dress today. It was a spur of the moment thing so her hair is a little crazy but they turned out okay! Joe bought me a camera for Christmas in hopes that I would stop paying people to take her pictures. I still need so work though! Hope you all enjoy, have a great Easter!

So Joe and I took a weekend getaway to Park City this past weekend. It was a much needed break from the daily routine or work and work and work! We were able to stay in the condos right at the base of The Canyons (Thanks Mom and Dad C. for letting us use the timeshare!) On Thursday we skiied with 10 inches of new snow. It was beautiful and so much fun. Friday we just took it easy, swimming, shopping, movies, etc. Saturday we had to come home but we were very excited to see Haiden whom we had left for the first time for more than a few hours. Thanks to my sweet family for taking care of her. Overall, it was a great weekend. The following pictures are of the view of the mountain from the condo, they are a little dark because it was snowing! And of course another picture of Haiden!

So again it has been awhile since I updated our blog. It's amazing how fast time flies by these days. I can hardly believe that Haiden is almost 8 months old. Since the last time I posted Haiden has learned how to crawl and with that she has learned how to make a very organized bucket of toys into something that resembles a large hurricane. Her new favorite thing to do is take all the DVD's off the rack and spread them across the floor! Despite her amazing ability to make huge messes we love her to death and are in awe everyday at how cute she is.Haiden has a weird shoe fetish!

Slacker!

So I have been a total slacker when it comes to blogging lately. The holidays came and went so fast and before I knew it, it was almost the end of January. Since it has been so long I will give you an update on what we have been up to lately.
Haiden is growing so fast. She is almost crawling, She gets up on her hands and knees and then moves backwards. We are still working with her. At her 6th month appointment she had reached 15 lbs and is about 25 inches long.
Over the holidays we were able to spend alot of time with family. Joe's brother and his wife and daughter were here for Christmas. It was fun to spend time with the whole family. Stefanie was nice enough to take some pictures for us.
Other than that, we are just working hard. I love being able to spend everyday at home with Haiden. Working nights is hard but it is so worth it in the long run. Joe gave me a new camera for christmas but I haven't figured out how to upload pictures yet. As soon as I do, I will post some updated photos. I know you are all dying to see some new ones. Until then this is all you get.

A few things I have learned since Haiden came along:
-I can now get dressed, do my hair, brush my teeth, and make my bed with one free hand
-I have mastered carrying the carseat and all the groceries up ten steps and into the house all at the same time
-Blogging with a little one on my lap!
-No matter how off tune I am when singing old mcdonald she will still smile
-Sleep is a thing of the past!
-Being a mom is the greatest thing ever and I am so lucky to get to spend so much time at home with Haiden

I can not believe that it has already been four months since Haiden was born. Man time flies. We went to the doctor about a week ago and she now weighs a whopping 13 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. We have tried giving her cereal a couple of times, she is not sure what to think of it but we will keep trying. She is just so cute. Joe and I love to just sit and watch her play. She jabbers constantly and is starting to roll over. Plus her giggle is the cutest thing ever. I never could have imagined that being a mom would be so amazing. What a joy and blessing she is in our lives! These pictures are not the best. Everytime I went to snap one, she put her fingers in her mouth!

So now that Halloween is fast approaching I am reminded why I have never been a big fan of the Holiday. First of all, scary movies, my least favorite type, and they are being played on every channel! Second of all, I hate masks, I realize that they are fake but they are just so creepy looking. Third, I have never been a big fan of dressing up. Now that I have a baby I am feeling pressure to be more into the holiday. Because Haiden doesn't quite know whats going on yet, I can get away with my usual wardrobe for the day. However that may have to change in years to come. I did buy her a cute outfit though. I decided that I could skip the expensive and fancy princess and bug outfits available. It's boring I know but seriously did you think I was going to take her trick or treating! She can help me answer the door to trick or treaters in her cute outfit. I decided to skip the professional pictures for this holiday, they are just so expensive. Mine are not great but oh well! Hope you all enjoy and have a happy and safe Halloween!

Bad Parenting?

So it never fails, Haiden always gets hungry right when we start cooking our dinner or when it is time to go somewhere. Because we want to eat as well we have started doing what all the books and pediatricians tell you not to do- prop the bottle up! Every time we lay her down she just looks so sad. We make it up to her by buying her new toys. Aren't we great parents?!

My Brother in law has requested pictures of the bathrooms at our new house. So Wes, this is for you! Keep in mind, I am not quite the photographer like your wife is. As for the rest of you, think of it as a virtual tour. You can still come visit and see in person though.
The master bathroom is my favorite, it has the nice jetted bathtub that will hardly get used I am sure. Who has time to take a bath now days? The double headed shower makes it nice in the mornings when we are both needed to shower at the same time. It's very roomy and you don't have to fight over the water temperature. The toilet also has a separate little area for some added privacy. Overall its a great bathroom, a little squishy at the sink but we can deal. The other bathroom is just your ordinary toilet, sink, and shower. I put some other pictures up for you. The master closet was a great selling point. Now Joe can't get mad at me for squishing his clothes all the way over to make room for mine. We have plenty of space now. Hope you enjoy!

It's official! Haiden has a name. Joe did a great job on Sunday blessing our beautiful baby. I don't even think he got nervous. Thank you to all those who helped with dinner afterwords. Out of the old, into the New!

Labor day weekend this year turned out to be just that. Thursday morning we were finally able to close on the sale of our house and the purchase of the new one. Because we had closed we had to be out of our house Saturday at noon. Since we had been packed and ready to move for nearly three weeks, the task didn't seem as daunting. With the help of our families we were able to be moved out completely and moved in to the new house in a matter of hours. (of course since we didn't get started until 7 pm it turned into somewhat of a late night!) We are very grateful to those people who helped us accomplish such a task. We couldn't have done it without you. We love you all. We are very excited to be in our new home that comes with air conditioning for these dry Utah summers and heat for the freezing cold winter ahead of us. We have truly been blessed.

This was the first time I was able to catch her smiling on camera. She does it all the time but tends to be a little camera shy (or I am just slow with the camera!)
